The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Singapore Section is delighted to announce a unique opportunity to visit Halliburton's world-class manufacturing and technology facility. The visit is scheduled for March 10th, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 03:30 PM (MY), and includes a tour of the Material Science Lab, Technology Center (which houses Singapore's only on-land drilling rig), and Manufacturing Center.
The Center of Excellence for Material Science features ISO 17025 certified labs with metallic and non-metallic experts, who will be on-hand to provide insights and explanations. The tour will expose visitors with technologies, facilities and capabilities by Sperry Drilling, Wireline, Material Science Lab, and Global Technology.
Registrations are now open, and preference will be given to YP SPE members, SPE members, and then non-SPE students and non-members. Attendees are required to wear covered shoes and business-appropriate clothing. Direct competitors of Halliburton (which includes, but not limited to, SLB, WRFD, BH, GE current employees) will unfortunately not be allowed to join.
A token fee of S$20 will be collected to cover lunch and transport. First-year students can attend free of charge. Payment should be remitted via Paynow to 8337 4173, with the payment marked as "Site Visit." You will be required to arrange your own transport to Halliburton (address below) but SPE will arrange a small bus to return us to Clarke Quay MRT.
