After finishing his university education, Dave has been working in the oil and gas industry for over 20 years. He was and is located in Singapore, which he now regards as "home". He has held positions with a variety of companies which have given him a valuable range of experiences across the Upstream and Downstream sectors. He started his professional life with Caltex in the 1990's, as a business analyst undertaking the corporate planning process for Caltex's activities in the SEA region, incl. Vietnam, Indonesia and Cambodia. He later worked for ExxonMobil and Singapore Petroleum Company, the latter included a "hands on" introduction to the the Upstream side of the business. After an interlude working for a couple of large banks and a listed Chinese company, Dave joined the global consulting firm GCA as Business Development Manager in 2013.
Loves the outdoors, water sports, and exploring the natural beauty of the Asia Pacific region, its man-made marvels, and the diversity of its people. Interested in Energy Resources and their management, LNG and its related applications, renewable energy (solar, wind power, OTEC, wave energy) and its phenomenal growth and potential, modelling costs and benefits, project development, social justice and planning.
