This presentation will provide an overview of carbon pricing as a key tool in climate policy. It will examine its role in reducing emissions and incentivizing sustainable practices. The discussion will highlight different approaches, including carbon taxes and emissions trading systems. It will also address how carbon trading helps to reduce emissions in a carbon‑constrained economy.

Caspar is a Sustainability Specialist with broad experience in climate change consulting, working across diverse and complex environments. His expertise includes Clean Development Mechanism and Voluntary Emission Reduction projects, carbon asset management, and renewable energy investments. He has contributed to carbon finance, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and sustainability consulting, while also developing software and services in the sustainability field for BP, South Pole and currently for Glencore.
